Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has forecasted thundery rainfall of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours. According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin from the center indicates that rainfall, accompanied by strong downdraft winds and occasional hail, is likely to affect the governorates of Shabwah, Al-Bayda, Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah, as well as parts of the Tihama Plain. Moderate to heavy rainfall, at times thundery, is also anticipated in the governorates of Saada, Amran, and Sana'a. The highlands of Lahj, Abyan, Ma'rib, Al-Jawf, Hadramawt, and Al-Mahrah, along with sections of the western coast, are expected to experience similar weather conditions. The center has issued warnings to citizens to avoid ravines, valleys, and flood channels during and after rainfall. Drivers are advised against crossing fords during floods. Additionally, the center has cautioned about potential reduced horizontal visibility due to rainfall and fog formation on roads and mountain slopes. Safety measures are recommended, and relevant authorities are urged to implement appropriate actions to protect lives and property.
