Sanaa: The General Judo Federation has finalized preparations for the Republic Judo Championship, which will be hosted by Dhamar Governorate from December 5th to 7th. Forty athletes representing the governorates of Dhamar, Lahj, Aden, Sana’a, Mahwit, Hudaydah, and Taiz will participate in the championship, they will compete in two categories: under-14 juniors (28, 32, and 36 kg weight classes) and under-17 juniors (46 and 50 kg weight classes).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event is expected to draw significant attention from local sports enthusiasts and provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills. The competition aims to foster sportsmanship and promote judo across the participating regions. The organizers have ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place to facilitate a smooth conduct of the event.
