Sana'a: The Traffic Police announced on Tuesday the temporary suspension of enforcement campaigns on the occasion of the Prophet's Birthday, in line with directives from the Ministry of Interior leadership.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Traffic Police explained that the suspension aims to ease procedures for citizens and respect the significance of this religious occasion. It will also allow a 30-day period for voluntary registration and licensing of vehicles starting from the date of the announcement.
The statement confirmed that field operations will continue through widespread deployment of traffic patrols and teams at major streets and intersections to regulate traffic flow, ensure road safety, and reduce congestion.
The Traffic Police noted that enforcement during this period will be limited to violations of traffic rules and public safety, emphasizing that the goal is to promote responsibility, discipline, and the values of cooperation associated with this occasion.
Drivers and vehicle owners were urged to comply with traffic regulations, demonstrate awareness and discipline, and take advantage of the suspension to rectify their status and complete vehicle registration and licensing.
