Sana'a: Celebratory events were held on Tuesday in several neighborhoods of Al-Sab'een District in the Capital Secretariat to mark the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) birth.
According to Yemen News Agency, the events included a cultural symposium in the Bayt Mu'ayyad neighborhood, attended by the First Deputy of the Capital Secretariat, Khalid Al-Madani, member of the Yemeni Scholars Association, Al-Saleh Al-Khulani, and Chairman of the Shafi'i Council, Al-Ridwan Al-Muhayya. The symposium discussed the state of the Ummah before the Prophet's birth and the historic transformation brought by his message in establishing justice and eliminating ignorance. It also highlighted the pioneering role of Yemenis in supporting Islam since its dawn and spreading it across the world.
Speakers emphasized the significance of commemorating this occasion to strengthen sincere attachment to the Prophet and draw inspiration from his values and principles in confronting challenges and conspiracies targeting Islam and Muslims, while defending the causes and sanctities of the Ummah, foremost among them the Palestinian cause and the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the site of the Prophet's night journey (peace be upon him).
Meanwhile, residents of the western Hadin neighborhoods in Bayt Baws Triangle, Al-Osbahi Eastern, Hamra Al-Ab, and Al-Mutlaa in the Qulfan area of Al-Sab'een organized cultural and speech gatherings celebrating the Prophet's birthday. Speakers underscored the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday to remember his virtues and noble qualities, highlighting that he is the guiding Prophet for the Ummah, who came with Islam's tolerant message to eliminate backwardness and ignorance and to reject sectarianism, disbelief, and polytheism.
They affirmed that the Yemeni people have always been deeply devoted to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), honoring and venerating him, celebrating his birthday with joy and reverence.
