Training Course on Burn Emergencies Launched in Al Hodeidah

Al hodeidah: A special training course on 'Burns and How to Manage Them' was launched on Tuesday in Al Hodeidah Governorate, organized by the National Center for Burns and Aesthetic Surgery in cooperation with the Health and Environment Office and Al Thawrah General Hospital.

According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day course, attended by several specialized medical and nursing staff, aims to enhance the skills of healthcare personnel and strengthen readiness to handle emergency cases. This initiative is part of the center's preparedness program amid current circumstances.

At the opening ceremony, Al Hodeidah Governorate Deputy, Mohammed Hulaissi, emphasized the importance of completing the establishment of a branch of the National Center for Burns and Aesthetic Surgery at the medical city. He noted that the burn center at Al Thawrah Hospital represents the initial core of this strategic project.

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Health and Environment, Dr. Ali Jahaf, highlighted the ministry's commitment to supporting specialized training programs that contribute to developing the performance of healthcare professionals in critical specialties.

For his part, Dr. Khalid Suhail, Director of Al Thawrah General Hospital, explained that the course features trainers and consultants from the National Center in Sana'a, resulting from joint coordination aimed at enhancing the health sector's capacity to professionally manage burn injuries.
