Sanaa: The Mobilization Department in Al-Wahdah District in the Capital Secretariat organized a cultural event on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr under the slogan 'Day of Criterion.' At the event, attended by the district director Sami Humaid and the district's mobilization official Abdullah Al-Dharafi, cultural activist Hassan Khairat highlighted the significance of the anniversary of the Battle of Badr in strengthening the faith identity and linking it to the reality of the Muslim nation, as well as reviving the spirit of jihad to confront enemies.
According to Yemen News Agency, Khairat referred to the divine support granted to Muslims during the Battle of Badr, which led to a clear victory over the forces of disbelief and falsehood, raising the banner of Islam and breaking the power of tyrants and polytheists. He urged making the most of the holy month's nights through righteous deeds, drawing closer to Allah, purifying the soul, and strengthening the values of solidarity, righteousness, and charity.
Khairat stressed the importance of drawing lessons from the Battle of Badr, foremost among them reliance on Allah and trust in Him, as well as the necessity of adherence to divine leadership when confronting challenges imposed by enemy schemes, and continuing the path of jihad in the cause of Allah until victory is achieved.
Meanwhile, the Mobilization Department in Al-Tahrir District also organized a cultural event to commemorate the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr under the slogan 'Day of Criterion,' attended by the district director Naji Al-Shay'ani and the mobilization official Abdul Latif Al-Wali. During the event, cultural activist Mohammed Sharaf Al-Din addressed aspects related to recalling the historical event of the Great Battle of Badr and the importance of drawing lessons from this historic battle in the struggles of Muslims against forces of tyranny and global arrogance.
He pointed out the significance of the Battle of Badr in Islamic history as a decisive and fateful confrontation between truth and falsehood, noting that the Holy Qur'an detailed the battle and the military planning of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), as well as the companions' commitment to implementing his directives.
Sharaf Al-Din emphasized the importance of linking the anniversary of the Battle of Badr with the current situation of the Axis of Resistance, which is unifying its stance to confront disbelief and tyranny. He affirmed that the Battle of Badr represents a pivotal milestone in the history of the Islamic nation. He also stressed the necessity of drawing lessons from the Battle of Badr to strengthen steadfastness in confronting the forces of American-Zionist tyranny and supporting the oppressed in Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon, as well as backing the courageous resistance movements.
