Capital secretariat: Two cultural events were held in the districts of Al-Safiya and Bani Al-Harith in the Capital Secretariat to commemorate the anniversary of the Great Battle of Badr for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan 'Day of Al-Furqan.'
According to Yemen News Agency, Head of the Technical Office at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research, Ziyad Al-Rafiq, and the Head of the Guidance Sector in the Capital Secretariat, Dr. Qais Al-Tal, highlighted the divine support granted to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and his companions during the Battle of Badr, emphasizing the victory achieved over the forces of polytheism and falsehood.
Al-Rafiq and Al-Tal addressed the Qur'anic significance of the Battle of Badr as the 'Day of Al-Furqan,' underscoring its role as the first decisive battle between disbelief and faith, between truth and falsehood. They emphasized the importance of learning from this historical event, stressing reliance on God, trust in Him, and adherence to the guidance from the Qur'an and the life of the Prophet in confronting adversaries.
The officials further emphasized the importance of emulating the example of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) and adhering to the Qur'anic approach. They advocated for the continuation of jihad in the cause of Allah as the sole path to the nation's dignity, strength, and liberation from foreign domination and colonialism.
The speeches also highlighted the Battle of Badr as a pivotal moment for mobilizing the nation amidst serious contemporary challenges, warning against the dangers of stagnation and complacency in facing imminent threats. They stressed the necessity of understanding the responsibility and taking decisive action to confront forces of evil and arrogance represented by the United States and Israel.
