Unstable Weather Conditions Worsen Across the Nation

Sana'a: The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning has announced that unstable weather conditions are set to expand across the country starting today and in the coming two days, with particular emphasis on the western, central, and southern mountainous highlands.

According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin predicts varying-intensity thunderstorms, which may include downdraft winds and hail. These conditions are expected to affect the governorates of Al-Dhalea, Taiz, Ibb, Al-Bayda, Dhamar, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah. Additionally, parts of Sana'a, Amran, and Saada, along with the highlands of Lahj and Abyan governorates, are likely to experience these weather disturbances.

The forecast also indicates that rainfall could extend westward to the Tihama Plain and the western coast, and eastward to cover sections of the plateaus and deserts in Shabwah, Hadramout, and Al-Mahrah.

The center has issued warnings for citizens and vehicle drivers to avoid valleys and flood channels, and to be cautious of thunderstorms, soil erosion, rockfalls, downdraft winds, and hail. The presence of dense clouds, rainfall, and fog is expected to reduce horizontal visibility on roads and in mountainous areas.

In light of these forecasts, the center has advised the public to steer clear of unstable slopes and adhere to safety measures. Authorities have been urged to implement necessary precautions to safeguard lives and property.
