Moscow: Russian Presidential Envoy Kirill Dmitriev said on Friday that the temporary license issued by the United States for countries to purchase sanctioned Russian oil will affect 100 million barrels. According to Yemen News Agency, Dmitriev wrote in a post on Telegram, "In light of the escalating energy crisis, easing restrictions on Russian energy supplies seems inevitable." The United States issued a 30-day waiver allowing countries to purchase shipments of oil and petroleum products currently stranded at sea. This move was described by Treasury Secretary Scott Bisnett as aimed at calming global energy markets that have been severely impacted by the Iran war.
