Sana'a: On this day, January 29, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression launched a series of airstrikes on numerous governorates, resulting in deaths, injuries, and the extensive destruction of public and private property.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression's air force targeted a residential building in the Attan area of Al-Sabeen District in the Capital Secretariat on January 29, 2016, leading to the martyrdom of five citizens and injuries to others. The strikes caused large rocks from Mount Attan to destroy a house in the adjacent Al-Salami neighborhood, damaging numerous nearby homes. Additional targets included a factory near Al-Zubaidi Street and several locations in Al-Sabeen and Al-Thawra Districts, causing significant damage to homes and properties.
Further airstrikes were conducted on Al-Kabous Factory, the Bin Shahab factory, and the Wadi Ahmed area, resulting in widespread destruction. In Taiz Governorate, airstrikes on Al-Masrakh District and Mocha District led to considerable damage, impacting schools and homes in the city of Dhubab. In Sana'a Governorate, the Community College in the Sarf area of Bani Hushaysh District was destroyed, along with severe damage inflicted on residential neighborhoods, agricultural lands, and citizens' property across various districts.
The aggression's air force also targeted communication centers, workshops, and factories across Marib, Asir, Saada, and Dhamar Governorates, resulting in significant damage and loss of life.
On January 29, 2017, artillery shelling by mercenaries injured a woman in Al-Jawf Governorate, while airstrikes continued across Taiz Governorate, causing injuries to civilians, including children, and damaging infrastructure. The aggression's air force targeted areas in Marib, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda Governorates, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis with ongoing attacks on citizens' homes and farms.
By January 29, 2018, airstrikes in Saada Governorate resulted in the martyrdom of five family members, along with further attacks on various districts causing significant destruction. The aggression continued with airstrikes across Hajjah, Lahj, and Taiz Governorates, damaging homes and targeting civilian areas with artillery shells and rockets.
On January 29, 2019, Assistant Engineer Mohammed Fouad Mohammed Al-Adhari was martyred in Al-Hodeida Governorate, and ongoing shelling by mercenaries impacted residential areas, causing casualties and extensive damage. In Marib and Saada Governorates, airstrikes targeted citizens' properties, exacerbating the suffering of the local population.
By January 29, 2020, further casualties were reported, including the martyrdom of a woman in Taiz Governorate. The aggression's air force launched numerous airstrikes across Sana'a, Saada, Marib, and Al-Jawf Governorates, while mercenaries targeted residential areas, causing additional destruction.
On January 29, 2021, missile and artillery shelling by the Saudi army injured citizens in Saada Governorate, while airstrikes continued in Marib and Al-Jawf Governorates, causing further damage to homes and farms. In Al-Hodeida Governorate, reconnaissance aircraft carried out airstrikes, and mercenaries shelled several areas, impacting civilians.
By January 29, 2022, aggression by the Saudi army and mercenaries resulted in further casualties and injuries in Saada and Al-Hodeida Governorates. Airstrikes targeted various districts, causing widespread damage to homes and infrastructure.
On January 29, 2023, a landmine explosion left over from the aggression resulted in the martyrdom of a citizen in Al-Hodeida Governorate, highlighting the ongoing threat and devastation caused by these aggressive actions.
