Sana'a: On April 4, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition carried out a series of airstrikes targeting civilian homes, IDP camps, and various service facilities, resulting in numerous casualties and injuries, predominantly affecting women and children.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression on April 4, 2015, saw the coalition's aircraft launch an airstrike on a house in the Al Qarad area in Baqim District of Saada Governorate, leading to the death of a woman and injuries to four others. This was accompanied by artillery shelling in the Alab crossing and Mareefah area. The following year, on April 4, 2016, airstrikes on an IDP camp in Shahal District of Hajjah Governorate claimed the lives of six children and a woman, while additional strikes targeted homes in Saqin District and infrastructure in Haidan City.
The pattern of violence continued in subsequent years. On April 4, 2017, airstrikes in Al-Jawf Governorate resulted in the deaths of two citizens and injuries to a woman, while further strikes damaged private properties across Sana'a and Marib Governorates. On April 4, 2018, a citizen was killed, and two others were injured in Al-Hodeida Governorate, with additional strikes causing widespread damage in Saada Governorate and beyond.
The aggression persisted on April 4, 2019, with the targeting of Al-Hodeida Governorate, resulting in the deaths of three women and a man. The following year, on April 4, 2020, a family of four was killed in Saada Governorate due to Saudi missile shelling. The violence continued with airstrikes in Hajjah and Marib Governorates.
On April 4, 2021, Saudi missile and artillery shelling in Saada Governorate caused the deaths of a woman and a man, with 11 others injured. Airstrikes also targeted various districts in Hajjah and Marib Governorates, causing extensive damage. The attacks on April 4, 2022, and April 4, 2023, involved airstrikes and artillery shelling in Taiz, Al-Dhalea, Marib, and Saada Governorates, leading to more casualties and destruction.
These events underscore the ongoing humanitarian crisis resulting from the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression, which has caused significant loss of life and damage to infrastructure across Yemen.
