Sanaa: On June 10, multiple governorates experienced significant destruction and loss of life due to attacks by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition and their associated forces. The aggression resulted in numerous civilian casualties, including women and children, as well as extensive damage to homes and critical infrastructure.
According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression's warplanes targeted several areas over the years. On June 10, 2015, airstrikes in Amran Governorate led to the death of one citizen and injured four others, including a woman. The attacks also damaged the government complex and market in Qaflah Udhur District. Similar airstrikes in Saada Governorate resulted in four fatalities, with additional missile and artillery attacks on multiple districts.
In 2016, aggression warplanes continued their assaults, targeting Harf Sufyan District in Amran Governorate, as well as strategic and civilian sites in Hodeida and Marib Governorates. The conflict's intensity did not wane in 2017, with Saada Governorate again experiencing heavy bombardment, causing significant damage to farms and homes.
The following years saw continued civilian suffering. On June 10, 2018, a child died amid mercenary fire in Taiz Governorate, while airstrikes in Saada and Lahj Governorates resulted in injuries and property damage. 2019 was marked by artillery shelling in Al-Dhalea and Hodeida Governorates, leading to child fatalities and injuries, and 2020 saw further airstrikes and shelling in Saada, Sana'a, and Marib Governorates, with several civilian casualties.
By June 10, 2021, hostilities persisted, with airstrikes and artillery shelling claiming lives and injuring individuals in Saada, Hajjah, and Marib Governorates. In 2022, the conflict continued to affect civilians, with cluster bomb explosions and targeted attacks across multiple regions, including Marib and Taiz Governorates.
Most recently, on June 10, 2023, Hodeida Governorate experienced renewed airstrikes and shelling, impacting residential areas and contributing to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the region.
