Sana'a: On this day, August 31, multiple airstrikes executed by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition resulted in numerous casualties, including women and children, as homes and markets across several Yemeni provinces were targeted. According to Yemen News Agency, on August 31, 2015, airstrikes in Marib Province led to the deaths of four citizens, including a child, and injured 15 others in Sarwah District. The strikes also caused damage to commercial shops and the new Marib Dam. In Saada Province, airstrikes in Bani Sayyah area resulted in seven more deaths, among them a child, and left five others injured. Additional airstrikes were reported in several districts causing destruction of homes and injury to civilians. The following year, on August 31, 2016, airstrikes in Saada Province claimed the lives of 16 citizens, predominantly women and children. Various districts in the province suffered from numerous airstrikes, artillery shelling, and rocket attacks, causing extensive damage to properties and infrastructur e. The aggression continued in subsequent years, with airstrikes in 2017 impacting areas in Hodeida, Hajjah, Saada, and Sana'a Provinces, resulting in injuries and damage to civilian properties. The airstrikes also targeted infrastructure, including schools and roads, exacerbating the plight of the Yemeni population. In 2018, artillery shelling and airstrikes by the coalition and its mercenaries in Hodeida Province led to the deaths and injuries of multiple citizens, including children. Fishermen also suffered casualties with airstrikes on boats near Aqban Island. The pattern of aggression persisted with airstrikes in 2019 demolishing homes and targeting civilian areas in Saada and Hajjah Provinces, while mercenaries conducted heavy shelling in Hodeidah Province. The violence continued into 2020, with airstrikes in Marib, Al-Jawf, Hajjah, and Al-Bayda Provinces, causing injuries and damage to properties. Mercenaries further fortified positions and engaged in artillery shelling across various regions. In 2021, airstrikes and artillery shelling by the coalition resulted in further deaths and injuries in Saada and Marib Provinces. The mercenaries established combat fortifications and conducted extensive shelling in Hodeida Province. Most recently, on August 31, 2023, reconnaissance aircraft carried out airstrikes in Taiz Province, while mercenaries fortified positions and engaged in artillery shelling in Hodeida Province, continuing the cycle of destruction and loss.
