US-Saudi-Emirati Airstrikes Cause Casualties and Damage in Yemen Over the Years

Sana'a: On this day, July 20, the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition launched multiple airstrikes across Yemen, resulting in numerous casualties and extensive damage to both public and private properties over the years.

According to Yemen News Agency, on July 20, 2015, airstrikes in the Sa'dah governorate led to the deaths of 13 citizens, mostly women and children, and injured several others. The aggression targeted residential areas, resulting in destroyed homes and casualties. In the same year, the coalition's air force also struck a mosque and a popular market in Sana'a Governorate, killing two and injuring 12 civilians.

In 2016, the coalition continued its airstrikes, targeting the Sarwah district in Ma'rib Governorate and multiple areas in Taiz city. Civilian homes and infrastructure were damaged, and ongoing artillery and missile attacks by mercenaries were reported.

By 2017, artillery shelling by coalition forces injured a girl and damaged homes in Jawf governorate. Airstrikes continued in Marib and Taiz governorates, with significant damage reported in the Khalid camp.

The year 2018 saw further casualties, with two women and a man injured in Saada governorate. The coalition's air force targeted residential areas, resulting in extensive property damage. Cross-border shelling by Saudi forces intensified, affecting civilian areas.

In 2019, a Yemen TV director was killed during an airstrike on the Ministry of Information in Sana'a. Airstrikes and artillery shelling in Hodeida Governorate resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure and properties.

Throughout 2020, coalition forces continued their attacks, injuring civilians and targeting homes and farms. The air force conducted multiple raids in Marib and Jawf governorates, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.

By 2021, Saudi missile and artillery shelling persisted, with attacks reported in Shada in Sa'dah governorate. Mercenaries shelled Hodeida with artillery and various ammunition, causing widespread damage.

The violence continued into 2022, with incidents of Saudi border guard fire killing and injuring civilians in Saada Governorate. Explosive remnants from previous attacks caused injuries to children, and armed reconnaissance aircraft conducted raids in Taiz Governorate.

Most recently, on July 20, 2023, the coalition's spy aircraft launched raids on Hays District in Hodeida Governorate. Mercenaries established combat fortifications and shelled several areas, contributing to ongoing instability and hardship for Yemeni civilians.
