According to Yemen News Agency, the aggression began on July 1, 2015, when three citizens, including women and children, were martyred due to an airstrike on Khadad village in Lahj Governorate. In Taiz Governorate, a woman was killed, and her family was injured in a series of airstrikes on sports, security, and military facilities. The aggression also targeted homes and schools in Saada and other regions, causing numerous casualties and destruction.
In the following years, the airstrikes continued with relentless intensity. On July 1, 2016, an airstrike in Sana'a Governorate resulted in the death of a citizen and damage to several areas. The aggression targeted schools, districts, and archaeological sites, causing extensive damage and loss of life.
The pattern of airstrikes persisted through subsequent years. In 2017, the aggression targeted Jabal Al-Makhal and Bariq area, causing significant harm. The following year, Hodeidah International Airport and other strategic locations were bombarded, resulting in casualties and infrastructural damage.
The cycle of violence continued in 2019, with airstrikes targeting Saada Governorate and Hodeida City, leading to further destruction. In 2020, significant infrastructure, including Sana'a International Airport, was targeted, causing fires and widespread damage. The aggression also inflicted harm on citizens' properties in multiple districts.
On July 1, 2021, missile and artillery shelling in Munabbih and Shada districts resulted in casualties and injuries. Airstrikes in Marib, Al-Jawf, and other governorates exacerbated the humanitarian crisis.
In 2022, the aggression's mercenaries shelled various areas, causing destruction to homes and properties. On July 1, 2023, combat fortifications were established by mercenaries in Taiz and Hodeida Governorates, with continued artillery shelling and airstrikes, further escalating the situation.
