Sana'a: The Secretary-General of the Local Council of Sana'a Governorate, Abdul Qader Al-Jilani, today inspected the progress of work on the asphalt project for Al-Thalathin Street in the Al-Sawad area between the New Sana'a and Sanhan districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary-General was accompanied by members of the Administrative Board, Abdul Salam Al-Jaifi, Mahyoub Mahdi, and Ali Al-Suhaili, as well as the Deputy Governor for Technical Affairs, Engineer Saleh Al-Muntaser. Together, they reviewed the ongoing work on the project, which is implemented by the Executive Unit for Projects under the supervision of the Governorate's Public Works Department. The project is valued at 201 million riyals and is funded by the governorate's local authority.
During the visit, they received an explanation from the Governorate's Public Works Department official, Engineer Mohammed Ashiyah, and the Acting Director of the Executive Unit, Engineer Mohammed Makram, regarding the project's adherence to technical standards and specifications, as well as its progress within the specified timeframe.
Al-Jilani reiterated the commitment of the governorate's local authority leadership to implement service projects that address citizens' needs. He stressed the importance of enhancing road project implementation to help preserve transportation infrastructure and alleviate traffic congestion.
The delegation included directors of the New Sana'a District, Abdullah Al-Marouni, and the director of the District's Public Works Department, Ammar Naji, who were also present during the visit.
