Sana'a: The General Authority for Water Resources and Water Facilities and its Sana'a branch organized on Wednesday a protest rally condemning the Saudi aggression on Sana'a International Airport.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants, including Deputy Head of the Authority Eng. Abdulkarim Al-Sufyani, Sana'a Branch Director Redan Al-Hadi, his deputy Eng. Ali Al-Ashari, and employees of the authority, denounced the targeting of the airport, describing it as a vital lifeline for millions of Yemenis and an essential gateway for travel abroad.
They stated that targeting a civilian facility that provides humanitarian services constitutes a serious violation of Yemen's sovereignty, the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant international agreements, particularly the 1944 Chicago Convention, which protects civil aviation facilities.
Participants chanted slogans condemning the attack, describing it as a war crime and a crime against humanity due to its deliberate targeting of a critical civilian facility.
The rally expressed full support for the statement issued by the Yemeni armed forces and praised their response to the airport strikes through an attack on Abha Airport.
It also voiced support for the missile, air, and naval forces and reaffirmed backing for revolutionary leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, declaring readiness to confront any escalation involving Saudi Arabia and its allies, particularly the United States and Israeli enemy.
The rally further expressed appreciation to Iran for its courageous decision to send an aircraft to Sana'a International Airport to help break the blockade, while reaffirming support for Gaza and the principle of the unity of fronts.
It declared official and popular readiness to continue efforts aimed at ending the aggression, foreign military presence, and blockade, enabling Yemen to achieve full independence, benefit from its national resources, and live with dignity.
The rally also renewed calls for continued mobilization, training programs, demonstrations, tribal gatherings, and other activities, urging Yemenis across the country to unite in pursuit of sovereignty, independence, and control over national resources.
It concluded by saying that the renewed targeting of Sana'a Airport and the threat to the delegation returning from the funeral ceremonies of Iranian leader Ali Khamenei require greater mobilization and efforts to end the blockade and secure Yemen's full rights.
