Hodeidah: The Women's Commission in Hodeidah city organized a speech event to mark the International Quds Day along with the National Day of Steadfastness, under the theme "Jerusalem is the cause of the nation and steadfastness is our choice".
According to Yemen News Agency, speeches at the event emphasized the significance of observing International Quds Day to raise awareness about the Palestinian cause, highlighting it as a central issue for the Islamic Ummah. The speakers underscored Jerusalem as a symbol of pride and dignity, asserting that defending it is a collective responsibility.
The discussions also addressed the actions of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, alongside efforts to erase the Islamic identity of Jerusalem. This was highlighted against the backdrop of international silence and the complicity of certain regimes.
The speakers lauded the resilience of the Yemeni people amid aggression and blockade, considering their sacrifices as an extension of their historical support for Palestine. They affirmed that steadfastness is crucial in confronting conspiracies against Yemen and the broader Islamic nation.
The event, attended by representatives from the Hara'at directorates of Al-Mina, Al-Hawal, and Al-Hawk, concluded with the presentation of a symbolic financial convoy named "The Sincere Promise." This gesture was aimed at supporting those stationed at the frontlines and naval forces, reflecting the solidarity and commitment of Yemeni women to ongoing support.
