Women’s Committee Event in Shibam District Commemorates Imam Ali’s Martyrdom

Shibam: The General Women's Committee in Shibam Kawkaban District, Al Mahwit Governorate, organized a commemorative speech event marking the martyrdom of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) under the slogan 'Victory, by the Lord of the Kaaba.' The speeches emphasized the importance of drawing lessons from the life of Imam Ali, highlighting his values of justice, courage, and sacrifice in upholding truth and supporting the oppressed. They noted that this commemoration serves as a spiritual occasion to strengthen religious and cultural awareness within society and to emulate Imam Ali's steadfastness in upholding Islamic principles and values.

According to Yemen News Agency, the speakers explained that Imam Ali embodied the highest ideals of faith, struggle, and sacrifice, serving as a model of a just leader and ascetic ruler who prioritized the welfare of the community above all personal interests. They called for these values to be instilled in practical life and daily conduct.

The speakers also highlighted that commemorating the martyrdom of Imam Ali reinforces the connection to great Islamic figures who have been guiding lights for the Ummah, emphasizing the importance of following his example in confronting injustice, falsehood, and supporting the causes of the Muslim community.

They further addressed the challenges currently facing the Islamic world, stressing the need to uphold faith-based identity, unity, and social solidarity, and to follow Imam Ali's example of patience, perseverance, and striving in the way of Allah.
