Al hodeidah: The local authority, in coordination with the Office of the General Authority for Zakat in Al-Luhayyah District, Al Hodeidah Governorate, has launched the distribution of 500 food baskets to poor and needy families in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, this initiative is part of the Ramadan charitable projects implemented by the General Authority for Zakat for the year 1447 AH. During the launch, district director Bakr Al-Mahdali stated that the initiative aims to alleviate the suffering of needy families and promote social solidarity during the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized that the projects of the General Authority for Zakat contribute to supporting the most vulnerable groups across the district.
Bakr Al-Mahdali praised the interventions and humanitarian projects of the General Authority for Zakat, which target the poor and needy. He stressed the importance of continuing such projects to enhance the living stability of beneficiary families and to fulfill the objectives of Zakat in caring for those in need.
Director of Public Mobilization in the district, Abdullah Al-Azab, highlighted that these charitable initiatives reflect concern for poor groups and translate the values of social solidarity and compassion within the community. Meanwhile, Director of the Zakat Office in the district, Adel Moatkaaf, explained that the distribution of food baskets is part of the Authority's plan for Ramadan charitable projects targeting poor and needy families. He confirmed the Authority's commitment to implementing its projects according to mechanisms that ensure Zakat reaches its rightful recipients in the district.
