Sana'a: The General Mobilization - Women's Sector in Sana'a organized a central event to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of the scholar Badr al-Din bin Amir al-Din al-Houthi. The event aimed to honor his scholarly and jihad-oriented legacy, as well as his faith-driven stances in confronting tyranny and arrogance.
According to Yemen News Agency, Mobilization Coordinator Ibtisam al-Mahattori highlighted the virtues of the late scholar. She praised his intellectual legacy and his life journey, which was marked by dedication, sacrifice, and struggle in the path of Allah. Al-Mahattori emphasized that Badr al-Din al-Houthi was a model of a sincere scholar who carried the nation's concerns and educated generations in Qur'anic culture, maintaining steadfastness against hegemonic powers.
Cultural Unit Official Hanan al-Azi also spoke at the event, stressing the importance of commemorating figures who upheld the banner of truth and struggle. She noted that Badr al-Din al-Houthi dedicated his life to Allah without hesitation or compromise, and overcame various challenges through patience and faith.
Al-Azi recounted the direct targeting Badr al-Din al-Houthi faced, including shelling of his residence and attempted raids. Despite these attacks, he remained calm and steadfast, drawing strength from his trust in Allah and the justice of his cause.
