Dhamar: A large women's rally was held in Dhamar city on Friday in support of the armed forces and in rejection of Saudi claims that Yemen targeted Mecca. Participants expressed pride in their Islamic identity and rejected allegations against the Yemeni people, stressing their readiness to defend Mecca and sacrifice for its protection.
According to Yemen News Agency, the women reaffirmed their commitment to just causes, resistance to aggression, siege, and the defense of Islamic holy sites, particularly Mecca, Medina, and Al-Aqsa Mosque. A statement issued at the rally praised what it described as Yemen's achievements and reaffirmed continued support for the armed forces in confronting aggression, lifting the siege, and securing the Yemeni people's rights.
The statement condemned what it called false accusations that Yemen targeted Mecca, saying they sought to undermine Yemenis' longstanding Islamic identity. It also affirmed the Yemeni people's right to respond to the allegations and actions against them, while reiterating authorization for the leadership and armed forces to take appropriate measures at a suitable time.
The statement further reaffirmed support for the Palestinian cause and Islamic holy sites, alongside what it described as the forces of the 'Axis of Jihad and Resistance' and supporters across the Muslim world.
