Bani qais: Work has been initiated in Bani Qais District, Hajjah Governorate, on two significant road projects carried out through community initiatives. The projects are set to improve infrastructure and facilitate agricultural activities in the region.
According to Yemen News Agency, the first project focuses on the construction of the Al-Masna-Akhsham road, which spans one kilometer. This project is being supported by contributions from the local authority and the branch of the Geological Survey and Mineral Resources Authority. The Bani Qais Agricultural Association is overseeing the project's implementation.
The second project involves the surveying and widening of the Sakaa-Mour road, stretching over two kilometers. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the community, the local authority, and the Geological Survey Authority's branch.
Mohammed Al-Qadmi, Director of the Geological Survey Authority branch in the governorate, explained that these initiatives are designed to assist farmers by overcoming logistical challenges and supporting the advancement of the agricultural sector.
District Director Mohammed Al-Shahari emphasized that road development is a top priority for the local authority and urged community members to actively participate in efforts across various sectors.
Hamed Jarrad, Executive Director of the Bani Qais Association, highlighted the importance of the Akhsham road, describing it as a crucial link connecting the Al-Kuaidnah and Al-Shahil districts. This road serves more than 14,000 residents, making it a vital component of the region's infrastructure.
