Aden: A workshop on Yemen's oil and gas sector underscored the importance of a proposed Oil and Gas Law in strengthening the national economy and attracting investment.
According to Yemen News Agency, former Minister of Oil and Minerals Ahmed Daris praised the committee responsible for drafting the law, stating that it would enhance the sector's role as a key economic pillar, create job opportunities, and maximize returns from natural resources.
The workshop was attended by Shura Council member Dr. Badr Rajeh and Assistant Deputy Minister of Oil for Mineral Affairs Dr. Yahya Al-Ajam. During the event, Eng. Adel Al-Hazmi, Deputy Chairman of the Yemen Oil Company for the Production Sector, presented an overview of the country's petroleum industry and the legal framework governing investment.
