Sana'a: A workshop on community initiatives and their importance in easing societal hardships was held on Thursday at Ikhtifa Agricultural Cooperative in the al-Marawe'ah district of Hodeida governorate, attended by social officials and neighborhood leaders.
According to Yemen News Agency, the workshop focused on the role of community initiatives in implementing local development plans and programs across agricultural, service, and developmental sectors. It also addressed challenges faced in executing projects carried out by the cooperative in partnership with the local authority and the community.
At the opening, District Director Abdullah al-Marwani highlighted the role of community initiatives in strengthening human development plans and programs, advancing education, public health, water, agriculture, and industrial sectors. He emphasized that such initiatives foster a culture of cooperation and popular cohesion with local authorities, underscoring the administration's support for efforts that relieve societal hardships and build local capacities, particularly under the current circumstances facing the country.
Al-Marwani called for unified official and community efforts to overcome development challenges, encouraging active participation from all segments of the district to serve its residents effectively.
