Sana'a: Yemen Mobile announced a 40% profit distribution to shareholders for the past year, marking the highest in Yemen, during its General Assembly meeting in the capital Sana'a. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed al-Mahdi commended the company's achievements despite challenges and highlighted its role in promoting digital transformation. He also emphasized the importance of developing local applications.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Minister of Finance recognized Yemen Mobile as a leading company in the sector and assured continued support for its growth. Chairman Essam al-Hamli detailed the company's robust performance, including network expansion with the introduction of 4G services in Socotra, a subscriber base surpassing 13.5 million, and substantial revenue and profit increases, culminating in the record dividend distribution.
Yemen Mobile is actively investing in digital transformation initiatives and community support programs. The company's Executive Director mentioned that shareholders would receive notifications regarding dividend payment dates via SMS. The General Assembly has given its approval for the profit distribution, reinforcing the company's commitment to its investors.
