Sa'ada: The branch of the Yemeni Oil Company in Sa'ada Governorate organized a cultural evening celebrating the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (may the best prayers and purest peace be upon him and his family).
According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Shura Council member Hadi Al-Hamzi, Deputy Governors Mohammed Al-Murtada and Ma'amar Al-Dhari, and Deputy Governor Saleh Aqab. During the evening, Aqab reviewed aspects of the Greatest Messenger's biography, his jihad, and the message he carried to the nation. He emphasized the importance of engaging with this religious occasion to recall the Prophet's biography (PBUH) and to instill the values of jihad and sacrifice in the nation's reality.
Aqab pointed out that the Yemeni people, through their widespread commemoration of this occasion, embody their close connection to the Greatest Messenger, who described them as the people of faith and wisdom. He called on everyone to turn out in large numbers for the central event, making the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal an exceptional Muhammadan day witnessed by the world.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Yemeni Oil Company branch in Sa'ada, Ibrahim Al-Awawi, highlighted the importance of commemorating this occasion and engaging with it to entrench loyalty to the Messenger of God and the beacons of guidance. He considered the Mawlid al-Nabawi a great occasion for entrenching faith-based identity and steadfastness in positions supporting the nation's causes, noting that supporting the oppressed and standing against the aggressor are among the meanings embodied in the biography of the Greatest Messenger, and are today embodied in the Yemeni people's stances toward the nation's causes.
The evening featured chanting segments and various cultural performances expressing joy at this occasion and its significance.
