Sana'a: Yemen's Democratic People's Party (Hashd) strongly condemned the Saudi strike on Sana'a International Airport, describing it as an escalatory move aimed at preventing the return of the Yemeni delegation that attended the funeral of Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

According to Yemen News Agency, the party called the attack a crime, a blatant violation of Yemen's sovereignty, and a direct threat to civil aviation and travelers' rights. It said the strike was a continuation of the blockade and pressure imposed on Yemen for more than 11 years.

The party said the attempt to block the delegation's return targeted Yemen's independent decision-making and sought to keep the country's airports, ports, and border crossings under external pressure. It added that the attack on Sana'a Airport was not only an assault on a civilian facility but also a direct attack on Yemen's sovereignty and its people's right to safe travel.

Hashd held Saudi Arabia and its backer, the U.S. administration, fully responsible for the political, legal, and humanitarian consequences of the escalation, stressing that the era of foreign domination over Yemen has ended.

The party reaffirmed what it described as the Yemeni people's and armed forces' legitimate right to defend the country, protect civilian infrastructure, and deter any future attacks, warning that continued escalation would have consequences.

It also reiterated its support for the revolutionary leadership headed by Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi, the political leadership, and the Yemeni armed forces in safeguarding the country's sovereignty and national security.

Hashd called on political parties, national forces, and civil society organizations to unite in defense of Yemen's sovereignty and reject any attempt to impose foreign control, affirming that the Yemeni people will continue to defend their independence and national sovereignty.
