Sana'a: Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mawallad, met on Wednesday with Minister of Education and Scientific Research, Hassan Al-Saadi, to discuss aspects of joint coordination for commemorating the Prophet's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Abu Shousa, Undersecretary for the Youth Sector Abdullah Al-Razhi, and Undersecretary for Basic Education at the Ministry of Education Hadi Ammar, reviewed mechanisms for unifying the efforts of both ministries in organizing sports, cultural, and creative events that reflect the greatness of the occasion and strengthen the role of the ministries in serving children and youth.
Also attending were Directors of Educational Coordination and Summer Activities at the Ministry of Youth, Ahmed Al-Sallawi, Director of School Activities at the Ministry of Education, Labib Al-Sarraji, and Director of the Youth Training and Development Center, Dr. Ali Al-Ma'nqi. Discussions focused on the planned activities in schools, universities, and institutes, as well as mechanisms for training and qualifying educational and youth cadres to mark the religious occasion.
The Minister of Youth and Sports stressed that his ministry attaches great importance to commemorating this significant occasion as part of its responsibility toward rising generations. He emphasized that the events will provide a platform for young people to develop their skills, refine their talents, and strengthen national belonging and Islamic values.
Al-Mawallad further affirmed that the ministry will dedicate its resources to ensuring the success of the programs and activities, and to guaranteeing broad participation of children and youth across governorates and districts.
For his part, the Minister of Education described commemorating the Prophet's birthday as a cornerstone of educational and faith-based programs, seeing it as an opportunity to instill Islamic identity among students. He pointed out that events in schools, universities, and institutes will contribute to nurturing national values and enhancing religious and humanitarian awareness among young people. He added that the ministry will work to create a supportive environment within educational institutions, activating cultural, scientific, and artistic aspects to discover student talents, nurture them, and guide them toward serving the causes of the homeland and the nation.
