Youth Office in Sana’a Organizes “Greatest Messenger” Race Celebrating Mawlid al-Nabawi

Sana'a: The Youth and Sports Office and the Youth Unit of the General Mobilization in Sana'a Governorate organized today the "Greatest Messenger" race for students of religious sciences schools in the governorate, in celebration of the anniversary of the noble Prophet's birth (Mawlid al-Nabawi).

According to Yemen News Agency, the race, which involved 250 students, started from the Martyrs' Garden on the 50th Street and ended at the government complex building in the Engineers' neighborhood, covering a distance of five kilometers.

The First Deputy Governor, Hamid Asim, emphasized the importance of organizing such purposeful sports competitions to develop students' abilities and skills. He praised the efforts of the Youth and Sports Office and the Youth Unit of the Mobilization in organizing events and sports competitions, especially on occasions that hold significance for the Yemeni people.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the governorate, Abdulmohsen Al-Sharif, explained that sports activities receive attention from the leadership of the Ministry of Youth and Sana'a Governorate, to develop the capabilities of youth and young people in the sports field and to encourage talented individuals.

At the conclusion of the race, attended by the Director of Sana'a New District Abdullah Al-Marouni, the Director of Human Resources at the Governorate Office Abdulkarim Al-Salami, the Complaints Director Ahmed Al-Salami, the Deputy Director of the Youth Office Abdullah Al-Naseef, the Deputy Head of the Guidance Sector Yahya Al-Faseeh, and the Sports Activities Director Captain Nabil Al-Namous, the winners of the top positions were honored with cups, gold, silver, and bronze medals, and in-kind prizes.

The top three finishers were awarded cups, medals, and copies of the Holy Quran, while those from fourth to tenth place received medals and copies of the Holy Quran.
