Zakat Authority and National Productive Families Program Launch Eid Clothing Project

Sanaa:The General Authority of Zakat, in collaboration with the National Productive Families Program, has initiated a project aimed at producing Eid clothing for underprivileged families for the year 1448 AH. The initiative, launched under the slogan 'A Hand Protects, a Hand Builds,' seeks to actively involve family members from disadvantaged backgrounds in the production process through various workshops focused on tailoring, leather, and cotton.

According to Yemen News Agency, Zakat Authority Chairman Shamsan Abu Nashtan emphasized the project's goal to create employment opportunities for hundreds of productive families. He appealed for coordinated efforts from the government to support these families, enhance local industries, and develop comprehensive production chains ranging from cotton cultivation to marketing and manufacturing.

Yahya Qatina, Director of the National Productive Families Program, stated that this project will assist 60 productive families in generating 15,000 clothing items. He also noted the program's plans to establish new production lines for cotton and leather, aiming to boost the economic capacity of these families and meet market demand with locally produced goods.

Najwa Jahzar, Director of the program’s Production Units, confirmed the units' commitment to producing Eid clothing that meets the required standards while ensuring quality. She called for continuous support throughout the year to maintain the stability and growth of productive families.
