Hodeidah: The branch of the Yemeni Council for Medical and Health Specialties in Hodeidah Governorate today conducted scientific interviews for applicants seeking to join fellowship and master's programs for the academic year 2026-2027, numbering 64 male and female doctors, after they passed the written admission examinations.
According to Yemen News Agency, the interviews were distributed across the specialties of board and master's in obstetrics and gynecology, board in pediatrics, kidney and urology surgery, neurosurgery, general surgery, diagnostic radiology, orthopedic surgery, and board and master's in internal medicine.
The head of the Council's branch in the governorate, Dr. Khaled Suhail, stressed the importance of the scientific interviews in differentiating between applicants and selecting those qualified to join the specialized training programs, according to approved scientific and academic standards. He pointed out that the expansion of fellowship and master's programs contributes to qualifying specialized medical cadres in various fields and meeting the needs of the health sector in Hodeidah Governorate and neighboring governorates, especially in qualitative specialties.
For his part, the registrar-general of the Council's branch, Dr. Mohammed Al-Abdali, explained that the scientific interviews are the second stage of the differentiation and admission procedures, following the written examinations, affirming keenness to apply the approved scientific and academic standards in evaluating applicants and selecting those who meet the conditions for joining the specialized programs. The interviews were held in the presence of coordinators, supervisors, and trainers of the courses, and a number of members of the Council's administrative body, completing the admission procedures for fellowship and master's programs for the academic year 2026-2027.
