Al-mahwit: The General Mobilization and Local Authority in Al-Tawilah district of Al-Mahwit governorate organized a cultural evening on Sunday to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Member of Parliament Ammar Khamis and Member of the Shura Council Hizam al-Asad, who emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday. Al-Asad described it as a religious and educational occasion that strengthens the connection with the Prophet Muhammad and deepens awareness of his noble biography and the lessons and values it embodies, such as patience, steadfastness, compassion, and solidarity. He noted that the Yemeni people's commemoration reflects their deep love for and connection with the Prophet and his family, as well as their adherence to the Islamic values and principles he brought. These values are translated into practical conduct through cooperation, solidarity, and a strong sense of r esponsibility. Al-Asad also highlighted the occasion's significance for drawing inspiration from the Prophet's positions in confronting challenges and renewing the commitment to follow his path. Al-Asad urged residents of Al-Tawilah district to continue participating in preparatory activities and to take part extensively in the central celebration on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal at the Prophet's Square in Al Mahwit city, in a manner befitting the significance of the occasion and the stature of the Prophet. Governor of Al-Mahwit, Hanin Qatina, remarked that commemorating the Prophet's birthday reflects the deep love for and connection with the Prophet Muhammad, as well as the Yemeni people's adherence to their faith-based identity. He emphasized the importance of recalling the Prophet's biography and drawing on its teachings to strengthen social cohesion and consolidate the values of compassion, cooperation, and solidarity. Governor Qatina praised the residents of Al-Tawilah for their active participation in religious and national occasions, calling for continued engagement in the governorate's central celebration. He urged that the occasion be commemorated in a manner reflecting its significance to the people of the governorate. General Mobilization Officer in the governorate, Ismail Sharaf al-Din, highlighted the importance of the occasion in recalling the Prophet's biography and connecting younger generations with the values and principles he championed. He noted that the preparatory activities for the Prophet's birthday contribute to raising awareness of the Prophet's status in the consciousness of the Muslim nation, unifying community efforts, and promoting initiative and cooperation. Cultural activist Mohammed Mahdi stated that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is an important opportunity to draw lessons from the Prophet's noble biography and reflect on his positions, values, and morals, contributing to greater religious awareness and reinforcing the noble principles promoted by Islam.
