Hajjah: Al-Sanwar team has been crowned champion of the Prophet's Birthday football tournament held in Al-Talahiya area of Kushar District, Hajjah Governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Sanwar secured the title in the tournament, organized by the district's Youth and Sports Office under the supervision of the governorate's Youth and Sports Office, with the participation of six teams, after defeating Al-Burkan 2-1 today.
District Youth and Sports Director Fawaz Rassam praised the performance of the participating teams, the competitive spirit displayed throughout the tournament, and the public's enthusiastic engagement with the matches.
He stressed the importance of sports tournaments and activities in strengthening young people's connection with the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, while contributing to the development of the sports sector in the district. He also praised the support and attention provided by the governorate's Youth and Sports Office.
Following the match, the champion, runner-up, and outstanding players were honored.
