Interior Ministry’s Human Resources Sector Launches 4th Free Al-Akram Prophet Medical Camp

Sana'a: The Human Resources and Finance Sector of the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Police Hospitals, on Tuesday launched the fourth free Al-Akram Prophet Medical Camp at Al-Rawd Medical Complex in Al-Qabil village, Wadi Dhahr, Bani Al-Harith district, Capital Sana'a, under the slogan 'Police in the Service of the People.'

According to Yemen News Agency, the week-long camp provides medical consultations in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and dermatology, in addition to laboratory tests and diagnostic services, including ultrasound and electrocardiograms (ECGs), as well as free medicines.

At the launch, Director General of Human Resources at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier General Adnan Qaflah stressed the importance of the fourth free medical camp, which is being held to commemorate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday and aims to provide a range of medical services to residents of the area and district.

He explained that the initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Interior through the Model Police Hospital in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Environment, reflects the key objectives of the Change and Construction Government to provide free medical services to citizens.

Qaflah described the camp as one of a series of specialized and model medical camps, offering free services in various medical specialties with the participation of consultants and specialists, alongside consultations, diagnostic and laboratory services, and the provision of medicines.

He commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior's leadership, the Model Police Hospital, and the General Police Hospital in organizing the free medical camp, which will serve many residents of Bani Al-Harith District and neighboring areas and districts.

For his part, Director of the Model Police Hospital and camp supervisor Dr. Fahd Al-Madumi said that holding the fourth free medical camp translates the directives of the Ministry of Interior's leadership, in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Environment and under the supervision of the Human Resources and Finance Sector, to help alleviate patients' suffering.

He explained that the camp aims to provide medical services to residents of Wadi Dhahr, Bani Al-Harith District, and neighboring areas, which are densely populated and include a large number of low-income and vulnerable people.

He noted that the camp aims to serve 15,000 cases in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and dermatology, in addition to specialized consultations, laboratory and diagnostic tests, including ultrasound and ECGs, and free medicines. He called on hospitals to organize similar free medical camps in support of charitable work and following the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

Meanwhile, Capital Sana'a Health and Environment Office Director Dr. Mutahar Al-Marouni highlighted the importance of the free medical camp, which targets many residents of Bani Al-Harith District and neighboring areas.

He noted that the camp provides services in several medical specialties, as well as consultations, laboratory tests, ultrasound, ECGs, and other necessary services, including free medicines.

Dr. Al-Marouni emphasized the importance of the camp as an initiative inspired by the example of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), expressing hope that it would achieve its intended objectives and produce positive outcomes in service of the people of the district.
