Al-Shariyah:The local authority and the General Mobilization Committee in Al-Shariyah district of Al-Bayda governorate organized an event on Monday to mark the annual Martyr's Anniversary for 1448 AH. The event featured the opening of a martyrs' photo exhibition to honor those who have sacrificed their lives.
According to Yemen News Agency, Yasser Idris, the Director of Al-Shariyah District, emphasized the importance of the occasion as a tribute to the martyrs' sacrifices in defense of their faith, homeland, and dignity. He remarked that the event serves as an opportunity to draw lessons and inspiration from the martyrs' heroic stances and sacrifices.
District Security Director Abdullah Al-Haij underscored the necessity of continuing cultural and mobilization activities. He highlighted the importance of solidarity rallies in support of the Palestinian and Yemeni peoples, as well as confronting the challenges both nations face.
Yasser Al-Abbasi, the official responsible for the education sector, called for a strong sense of responsibility toward the families of the martyrs. He urged support for the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families in implementing service and humanitarian programs. Al-Abbasi also noted the occasion's significance in reflecting on the meaning of martyrdom and raising societal awareness of values such as sacrifice, generosity, and steadfastness.
