Sana'a:The Nasserist Popular Al-Tashih Organization commemorated the 49th anniversary of the assassination of President Ibrahim Al-Hamdi and his brother, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Al-Hamdi, at the Martyrs' Cemetery Square in Sana'a. The ceremony was attended by members of the Al-Hamdi family, national and social figures, and political leaders.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council, Dhaifullah Rassam, emphasized the significance of the anniversary in highlighting the history and conspiracies against Yemen. He described the late President Al-Hamdi as a national symbol and a proponent of a modern Yemeni state, whose vision was allegedly derailed by a Saudi regime conspiracy.
Rassam underlined the importance of learning from the past to strengthen national unity, protect Yemen's sovereignty, and reject external influence. Head of the Al-Tashih Organization, Mujahid Al-Quhali, asserted that Al-Hamdi's assassination targeted the Yemeni state and national unity, blaming the Saudi regime for the crime and its repercussions.
Al-Quhali argued that the assassination aimed to keep Yemen divided and weak, drawing parallels with the assassination of President Saleh Al-Sammad. He called for an investigation into Al-Hamdi's assassination to uncover the truth and deliver justice.
He also highlighted current Saudi military activities against Yemen, warning against external manipulations that could harm Yemeni interests. Al-Quhali urged vigilance among the southern governorates and stressed the need to prioritize national interests and preserve Yemen's unity.
Footage of assaults and military buildups involving Takfiri elements was mentioned as evidence of Saudi intentions in the region. Al-Quhali reiterated Al-Tashih Organization's support for Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the 'blockade for blockade' stance until the Saudi aggression and blockade are ended.
Ansarullah Political Bureau member Ali Al-Qahoum emphasized the importance of remembering Al-Hamdi's legacy and the ongoing challenges facing Yemen. The event concluded with a statement from the Al-Tashih Organization, delivered by Dr. Abdullah Talib, addressing conspiracies against Yemen and Al-Hamdi's civilizational project.
