Al-Thawra District Concludes Successful Summer School Sports League

Sana'a: The summer school football league for students in the al-Jeraf al-Gharbi district of the al-Thawra Directorate in the capital Sana'a has concluded under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad." The event, which wrapped up on Saturday, saw participation from eight teams representing various summer schools in the district.

According to Yemen News Agency, the two-week league was organized by the Mobilization Department, the Education District, the Youth and Sports Office, and the Executive Committee for Summer Activities and Courses within the directorate. The competition culminated in a decisive victory for Abu Khalil al-Mu'ayyad School, which clinched the league title by defeating Ali Musleh School 5-0 in the final match.

The closing ceremony was marked by the presentation of awards, where Saddam al-Hababi, the Director of Mobilization in the Directorate, and Amin Salah al-Din, the Director of the Education District, awarded the league cup and gold medals to the victorious Abu Khalil al-Mu'ayyad School team. The runners-up, Ali Musleh School team, received silver medals for their efforts.

The event also featured a scout parade involving summer course students, attended by mobilization officials from the educational district, Abdulwahab al-Nasheri and Munir al-Omari of the western al-Jeraf neighborhood, alongside educational and sports leaders.
