Sana'a: Acting Prime Minister Allama Mohammed Muftah congratulated the Iranian government and people on the election of the Supreme Leader and third leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyed Mojtaba Ali Khamenei.
According to Yemen News Agency, in a cable sent to the Iranian government, the Acting Prime Minister expressed his congratulations to the brotherly Iranian people on the election of Sayyed Mojtaba Khamenei by the Assembly of Experts. He affirmed the importance of this step, which reflects the strength and integrity of Iran's institutional state structure and its ability to thwart the bets of the American and Zionist enemy on toppling the system and plunging the country into chaos. He prayed for success and guidance for the new leader and that he would be a worthy successor to a worthy predecessor.
Allama Muftah also renewed his condemnation of the criminal US-Israeli aggression against brotherly Iran, praising the continued escalation operations carried out by the armed forces under 'True Promise 4' against American and Zionist targets, which have inflicted human and material losses on the aggressor enemy. He pointed out that the great sacrifices made by the brotherly Iranian people stem from their sense of responsibility in defending the nation and confronting the malicious Zionist scheme targeting its identity, security, stability, the unity and territorial integrity of the country.
