Anti-Mosquito Campaign in Al-Munirah District Launched

Hodeida: Authorities in al-Munirah district of Hodeida governorate on Wednesday launched a fogging and larval spraying campaign to curb the spread of mosquito-borne diseases. The campaign, implemented by the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, targets mosquito breeding sites across several areas in the district, aiming to reduce the spread of malaria, dengue fever, and other seasonal diseases, particularly during the rainy season.

According to Yemen News Agency, at the launch, District Director Abdul-Ilah al-Ahdal stressed the importance of preventive measures to protect public health, noting the need for coordinated efforts to eliminate disease vectors. He commended the role of the fund in addressing stagnant water sources and mosquito breeding grounds, urging field teams to cover all targeted locations to ensure the campaign's success and strengthen health prevention efforts in the district.
