Sanaa: A meeting held today, chaired by the Minister of Finance, Abduljabbar Ahmed, and including the Mayor of the Capital, Dr. Hammoud bbad, the Deputy Minister of Finance, Nasser Al-Hamdani, and the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, approved the executive program for the charity and benevolence activities of the Ministry of Finance and the Authority.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by leaders of the Ministry of Finance, the Tax and Customs Authority, and a number of officials in Al-Safiyah District of the Capital Secretariat, reviewed the various activities that will be implemented in the district.
The approved program included a number of activities related to charity and benevolence, including the distribution of food baskets, a Ramadan kitchen, economic empowerment programs, and attending to the various needs of the district’s residents.
The meeting also approved the formation of a supervisory committee from the ministry, the Capital Secretariat, and the Tax and Customs Authority to follow up on the implementation of the meeting’s outcomes and supervise all activities, in addition to forming sub-committees from undersecretaries and general directors for follow-up at the level of neighborhoods and residential blocks.
During the meeting, the Minister of Finance affirmed the importance of strengthening the relationship with the community in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
He stressed that the path of charity and benevolence, launched today in Al-Safiyah District, should continue throughout the year through attention to development and service projects in the district.
Minister Abduljabbar pointed to the necessity of supporting charity projects and enhancing the values of social solidarity, especially under the circumstances the country is going through due to the aggression and siege.
He indicated that with everyone’s cooperation and solidarity, the desired goals will be achieved, affirming the importance of focusing on economic empowerment projects, which will significantly contribute to alleviating living burdens and enhancing awareness of the importance of boosting the productive process in society.
The Minister of Finance directed the ministry’s undersecretaries, the Authority’s officials, and general directors to engage in Ramadan activities and programs in the district by visiting neighborhoods and participating with the district’s residents in their various programs.
For his part, the Mayor of the Capital appreciated the initiative of the Ministry of Finance and the Tax and Customs Authority and their participation in charity and benevolence activities in Al-Safiyah District, which is considered one of the pioneering districts in various fields, pointing out that this strengthens the bond between the community and state institutions.
He affirmed the keenness of the relevant authorities to provide what they can in the field of services according to available capabilities, noting that the aggression primarily focused on targeting the internal front but failed in its schemes throughout the years of aggression.
