Arab Socialist Ba’ath Party Highlights Impact of October 14 Revolution in Yemen’s History

Manila:The Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party emphasized that the October 14, 1963 Revolution was a pivotal moment in Yemen's history, symbolizing the people's rejection of foreign occupation, liberation from colonialism, and the pursuit of independent political and sovereign decision-making.

According to Yemen News Agency, the party's statement declared that the revolution against British colonialism in southern and eastern Yemen was a reflection of the people's desire for a state based on justice, equality, and rule of law. It represented a bold move toward Yemeni unity.

The party urged Yemenis to honor the sacrifices of martyrs who fought for freedom and independence, emphasizing the ongoing responsibility to liberate Yemeni territories still under foreign control, particularly those influenced by what the party described as Saudi aggression and forces aligned with US imperialism and global Zionism.

Condemning Saudi actions against civilians, the party highlighted the killing of women, children, and the elderly, and the targeting of homes and civilian properties. It stated that these actions demonstrate the aggressor's loss of control, asserting that these crimes would be met with severe retaliation.

The party praised the Yemeni armed forces' operations against Saudi targets, describing the confrontations as decisive. It reaffirmed the strategy of 'escalation for escalation and siege for siege' until the aggression ceases, the blockade is lifted, and all Yemeni territories are liberated.

Political forces aligned with foreign entities were urged to reconsider their positions in light of Yemen's history of resistance and sacrifice. The party warned that collaboration and dependency would lead to historical insignificance.

Furthermore, the party called on individuals misled by Saudi forces in Taiz governorate and other areas to embrace the presidential amnesty, advocating for reconciliation and forgiveness. Those who surrender their weapons or refrain from obstructing the armed forces were assured of safety, regardless of political affiliations.

The statement also condemned Israeli aggression against occupied Arab territories, reaffirming support for the Resistance Axis in opposing Israeli actions and resisting colonial efforts to dominate regional nations and exploit their resources.
