Sanaa:The Cancer Control Fund has launched its 13th National Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign under the slogan "Awareness is Protection."
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign will run until October 31, aiming to raise awareness about breast cancer symptoms and risk factors. It seeks to promote healthy behaviors that aid in prevention and highlight the importance of early detection in improving treatment outcomes and reducing complications.
The initiative involves various awareness and media activities, including broadcasting messages through media outlets and sharing educational materials on social media platforms to reach a broad audience.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al-Madani, head of the fund's board of directors, stated that the campaign supports the fund's goal to enhance cancer awareness and promote a culture of prevention and early detection. He emphasized that early recognition of breast cancer signs can improve treatment success and reduce associated burdens.
Dr. Al-Madani highlighted the significance of the campaign's slogan, "Awareness is Protection," underscoring the role of correct health knowledge in prevention. He urged media, institutions, and community members to support the campaign by disseminating its messages widely, reinforcing the idea that combating cancer is a collective responsibility.
