Beirut: Major energy project investments in China are anticipated to exceed 20 trillion yuan during the 15th Five-Year Plan period from 2026 to 2030, as stated by a Chinese energy official on Friday. These investments are expected to support steady growth in major energy projects and emerging energy-related businesses across the nation. According to Yemen News Agency, Wang Hongqi, head of the National Energy Administration of China, announced at a press conference that the total investment in the energy sector has already surpassed 20 trillion yuan, which is approximately US$2.93 trillion. This substantial investment underscores China's commitment to expanding its energy infrastructure and capabilities. China's renewable energy sector is making significant strides, with ongoing development of integrated projects that combine clean electricity generation, green hydrogen production, and electricity storage. These efforts are part of China's broader strategy to achieve carbon neutrality and bolster energy secu rity.
