Beijing:China's software and information technology services industry has shown significant growth, with revenue exceeding the 10-trillion-yuan benchmark in the first eight months of this year.
According to Yemen News Agency, the total revenue for the industry reached approximately 10.28 trillion yuan, equivalent to about 1.54 trillion US dollars, marking an 8.8 percent year-on-year increase. This data was released by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and reported by Xinhua News Agency.
The industry's total profits also saw an increase of 1.3 percent, reaching approximately 1.18 trillion yuan. Additionally, exports amounted to 45.99 billion US dollars, reflecting a 12.5 percent growth compared to the same period last year.
In terms of specific performance, revenue from software products rose by 6 percent year-on-year. This was supported by a 9.8 percent increase in revenue from basic software products and an 8.3 percent rise in revenue from industrial software products.
Revenue from IT services grew by 9.6 percent year-on-year, comprising 68.7 percent of the industry's total revenue. Within IT services, cloud computing and big data services saw a revenue increase of 11.1 percent. Meanwhile, revenues from integrated circuit design services increased by 21.6 percent, and technology services linked to e-commerce platforms grew by 5.3 percent.
