Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast a drop in minimum temperatures in the deserts and plateaus of Al-Mahrah and Hadramout, along with cold to very cold weather in several governorates and highlands over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center indicated in its weather bulletin a noticeable decrease in minimum temperatures in the deserts and plateaus of Al-Mahrah and Hadramout. It is expected that cold to very cold conditions will continue during the night and early morning hours in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, northern Ibb, southern and western Marib, Al-Jawf, and the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa, with the possibility of frost forming in parts of these areas.
Overall cold conditions are also likely in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Taiz. The center warned citizens of the cold and very cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick, and workers during nighttime and early morning hours.
The center advised farmers to take necessary measures to protect their crops from damage, and livestock herders and beekeepers and poultry breeders to shelter them in warm places.
