Sana'a: All eyes will be on Al-Dharrafi Stadium this Saturday as it hosts the two semi-final matches of the second Martyr President Saleh Al-Sammad Football Championship for ministries, government agencies, and institutions.
According to Yemen News Agency, in the first match, the Ministry of Communications team will face the Ministry of Economy team, while the Ministry of Youth and Sports team will take on the Capital Secretariat team tomorrow, Sunday, in a fierce battle for the two qualifying spots for the final.
The Ministry of Communications team enters today's match with high morale after a remarkable run in the tournament, topping its group with a perfect record (9 points) before continuing its impressive performance in the knockout stages and defeating the Presidential Office team 3-2 to secure its place in the semi-finals.
The Ministry of Economy team reached the semi-finals after a notable attacking performance throughout the tournament, confirming its offensive prowess and ability to make the difference in crucial matches. In contrast, the Ministry of Youth team delivered a strong performance in the tournament, topping their group with nine points and defeating the Ministry of Finance team in their final match on penalties, with the final score ending 4-2.
Meanwhile, the Capital Governorate team steadily progressed to the semi-finals, displaying a balanced approach between defense and attack, and reached this stage after defeating the Ministry of Health team 1-0.
