Conclusion of Course to Build Capacities of Administrative Bodies and Executive Departments in Saada

Saada: The Bonyan Development Foundation concluded a training course aimed at building the capacities of administrative bodies and executive departments of associations in Saada governorate, specifically targeting the areas of Kataf, Al Salem, Sahar, Saqayn, and Bani Bahir. This initiative was part of the broader associations program.

According to Yemen News Agency, the 15-day course was organized by the Bonyan Foundation and facilitated by the Bonyan Academy for Training and Qualification. It was conducted in collaboration with the local authority in Saada and the Unit for Financing Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives in the governorate, under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the Agricultural Cooperative Union. The course aimed to equip 46 staff members of these associations with essential skills in management, planning, guidance, evaluation, and financial and accounting systems.

At the course's conclusion, the Deputy Minister of Social Affairs for the Social Care Sector, Mohammed Oqabat, emphasized the importance of establishing associations and enhancing coordination with associations in Saada districts. He highlighted the need to raise the level of community participation in implementing initiative projects across various fields, including agriculture. Oqabat also underscored the significance of strengthening the role of associations by building their cadres in various fields, praising the efforts of the trainees from the administrative bodies of cooperative associations in creating developmental movement through fieldwork.

Furthermore, Ali Maher, the Acting Executive Director of the Bonyan Foundation, encouraged participants to apply the knowledge they gained to bring about a significant transformation in building cooperative associations in the districts. He expressed hope that their efforts would yield substantial benefits for the citizens.

Abdo Masri, the Director of Initiatives at the Ministry of Local and Rural Administration, highlighted the importance of combining official and community efforts to achieve a qualitative leap in agriculture and community services, especially given the current challenges facing the nation. He stressed the need to work towards achieving food security.

The participants expressed their appreciation for the efforts of the relevant authorities, the Bonyan Foundation, and the Academy in making the training program successful. They acknowledged the program's role in enhancing their capacities related to the work of cooperative associations, developing services, simplifying procedures, and qualifying staff to enhance development aspects and serve their communities.

The course conclusion, attended by various dignitaries including the directors of Sahar and Kataf districts, Aziz Da'ah and Hames Al Namri respectively, and other officials, featured a poem and the distribution of certificates to the participants.
