Sana'a: Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, has expressed his condolences and sympathy following the death of Major General Abdul Ghani Fadhl Mahdi, acknowledging his lifetime commitment to national service.

According to Yemen News Agency, President Al-Mashat conveyed his heartfelt condolences through a cable sent to the family of the deceased, particularly addressing Major General Khaled Fadhl Mahdi, Ali, Mohammed, and his son Mohammed Abdul Ghani, along with the entire Mahdi family. The President lauded Major General Abdul Ghani's virtues, his significant role in military service, and his efforts in mediating disputes among the people.

He highlighted Major General Abdul Ghani's commendable defense of the nation and the personal sacrifices made in opposing the American-Saudi aggression, noting the loss of two of his sons on the battlefronts. The President emphasized that the nation mourns a military leader who demonstrated sincere dedication to serving and protecting the country.
