Sana'a: A meeting held in the capital Sana'a, bringing together Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Nabih Nasser and Deputy Minister of Information Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, discussed ways to activate joint cooperation to produce youth, sports, and awareness programs targeting children, youth, and athletes.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed mechanisms for coordinating efforts and building complementary work between the two ministries to develop media discourse and build a comprehensive awareness message. This message aims to contribute to the battle for awareness and fortify society-particularly among adolescents and young people-while fostering their sense of belonging as well as their national and faith identity.
The attendees emphasized the importance of equipping youth and adolescents with knowledge and information to face current circumstances and directing them properly. This includes reinforcing their connection to Quranic culture and ensuring their protection from the dangers of foreign cultures, schemes broadcast by hostile media outlets, and the suspicious activities of external organizations.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports stressed that the battle for awareness is no less important than other fronts of confrontation. He highlighted the ministry's eagerness to protect children and youth from intellectual invasion and destructive cultures through a package of awareness programs and youth and sports activities in cooperation with the Ministry of Information.
He noted the necessity of unifying and directing energies to build a conscious generation armed with Quranic culture and fortified against rumors and misconceptions that hostile forces seek to pass among youth and adolescents.
For his part, the Deputy Minister of Information explained that national media outlets prioritize supporting the efforts of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by highlighting youth and sports activities and producing targeted, impactful awareness content. He pointed out the importance of strengthening the media message and developing its content to build an authentic faith-based awareness rooted in identity, principles, and values. This approach aims to foil all misleading attempts broadcast by hostile media and suspicious organizations to create a distorted reality for future generations.
